Lovely pics Eman, Is the horse a Suffolk Punch. ( I'm only guessing)
Also , does the wind turbine belong to the farm? My husband and friend recently built a Cretan wind turbine from scratch, like Junkyard Wars, it works!
It looks really nice there, we used to live in Cumbria, not far.

Do JWs eat fat?
by scooter inreading some of the recent posts on the blood issue reminded me of a verse that i have never yet had a jw explain.
lev 3:17 in the nwt reads " it is a statute to time indefinite for your generations, in all your dwelling places: you must not eat any fat or blood at all.".
jws use other verses to try and show that we mustn't eat blood as = having a blood transfusion.

This is a very interesting point.
I questioned an elder about it once and he said it meant, as in 'The fatty pieces' meaning the best bits. I haven't got my Bible to hand, but I think it refers to the fat around the kidneys, which I pointed out in an answer I gave that anyone who has butchered an animal knows this is suet, hard fat. Also there is a reference to 'the appendage on the liver'. Likewise cut out a liver and you'll find a nasty greenish appendage, the gall bladder. Cats usually leave this bit when they eat mice.
'Thankyou for that' Was the reply from the platform.
Strange but true.....
I still like liver and onions.

They did this before and we made expensive phone calls and heard no more untill the other day, I tried to explain- to no avail. So if I disappear for a while you'll know why!
We've been terminated!as of 5th Sept.
Sorry, totally un JW related.

I withdrew my Health-Care Advance Directive today
by meat pie in.
i wrote to my doctor and handed in the letter personally, stating that i was no longer a jw and did not share their beliefs.. i felt relieved afterwards.i was just on my way to the dentist, which is fairly hazardous, as i am immuno-suppressed, (not aids), and it has been on my mind for some time that i could quite easily become too ill to express my opinions.
so this has taken a weight off my mind.. not quite daing, but it might be a step in that direction.. thanks for listening.. meaty

Thankyou for all your lovely kind replies, I have kept a copy of a blood card (not in my purse) as a reference, This was the complex HCAD dealing with blood fractions and end of life decisions. It did feel good telling my Dr I was no longer 'one of them'.
Thanx

Funny you should mention that, there were at least 4 with ME in my old cong, out of about 50.
Some were self-diagnosed.
While it may be a genuine illness for some people, it could be that it was used as a get-out for the min, meetings etc.
I asked one alleged sufferer if he had been diagnosed and he said there was no diagnosis, my own sister said she had it (non-JW) and that it had been diagnosed by her Dr.
Who knows?

I don't know why I hadn't done it before. I wrote to my Doctor and handed in the letter personally, stating that I was no longer a JW and did not share their beliefs.

Not quite DAing, but it might be a step in that direction.

Thanx for all your replies.
Thankyou Sombody for the links, we'll try them out!
Joy2, you have seen me! can you imagine me in those skimpy pants?! Seriously, the three of us will give it a go, I have tried bowling to him, but I was always rubbish at rounders Simon. There is one boy at his school who is interested so maybe the gym teacher can help out too.
Thankyou for your help.
